Pete Hughes, Oxford Mail News Editor
"Daniela has offered her skills as a journalist to the Oxford Mail since 2019. She has consistently shown enthusiasm, willingness to try new things and a passion for learning. She has also shown initiative by going out of her way to research stories and demonstrated a great news instinct.
On the first week that she was working with the Oxford Mail she took on a major and complex story about a former post officer manager, who was convicted of misappropriating funds from her branch, who was part of a national group taking legal action against the company to restore their reputations. She happily drove to meet the woman at her house and interview her there, and also took photographs to accompany the story. She showed a great understanding of the complicated issues and wrote it up with great flare. As a result it ended up being a front-page story.
Daniela has written numerous other stories for us on a wide variety of subjects, always showing her flexibility and interest in learning about new subjects. I would be delighted to work with her again and would recommend her to another employer without hesitation".
